Effects of Non-ionizing Electromagnetic Radiation on Flora and Fauna

As the Environmental Health Trust explains, "The health effects of wireless radiation extend beyond human health...Despite numerous studies showing harmful effects from wireless and non-ionizing radiation, the current reality is that insects, birds and airborne species like bats that live in close proximity to cell tower antennas are unprotected because RF regulations do not apply to wildlife.  Trees, plants and bacteria have also been found to be impacted by RF exposure, yet they are also ignored by FCC’s human centric regulations."   The Environmental Health Trust provides numerous links to scientific articles on the following page, indicating the effects anthropogenic electromagnetic radiation has on wildlife.

From the journal, Reviews on Environmental Health, two very detailed articles were published on May 27, 2021, and July 8, 2021, which explain the effects of increased environmental electromagnetic radiation on plant and animal life, with numerous research articles in the bibliography:

“Effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic fields on flora and fauna, part 1. Rising ambient EMF levels in the environment”

“Effects of non-ionizing electromagnetic fields on flora and fauna, Part 2 impacts: how species interact with natural and man-made EMF”

Published in the journal, Health Physics, in January 2023, this report summarizes effects of anthropogenic electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic fields in the frequency range from 0 to 100 MHz on flora and fauna, as presented at an international workshop held November 5-7, 2019, in Munich, Germany; recommending further studies are conducted, aiming at the identification of the interaction mechanisms and the ecological consequences.

A 2006 - 2016 German study of over 700 individual trees over 10 years, provides clear documentary evidence, including numerous before and after photos, indicating cellular communication masts and antennas (base stations) definitely damage and kill trees.

Some of the trees in the study above were also part of a larger tree study published in the Journal, Science of the Total Environment, 572 (2016) 554-569.  This article also contains numerous clickable links to other scientific articles in the bibliography at the bottom.
