This
July 1, 2021 interview with Joel Moskowitz, a researcher in the School of Public
Health at UC Berkeley and director of Berkeleys Center for Family and Community
Health, explains his quest to educate people that radiation from cell phones is
unsafe. He points out that there are strong parallels between the tobacco
industry's past actions, and what the telecom industry is currently doing, in
terms of marketing and controlling messaging to the public.
Moskowitz: Cellphone radiation is harmful, but few want to believe it
Examining
the
article about the conflict of interest regarding the members of the World Health
Organization linked on the previous section's page can be enlightening in
regard to one's understanding of the operations of the WHO. Another interesting
fact related to the WHO is that its former Director in 2002, Gro Harlem
Brundtland, has electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS).
She is sensitive to wireless radiation and suffers serious physical effects if a
mobile phone is any closer to her than 4 meters away. She stepped down from her
position at the WHO after only a year.
The article explains at the bottom that prior to her position at the WHO, she "was a medical doctor before she began her successful political career. She became Norways first female prime minister, and she led the UN Commission on Environment and Development (the Brundtland Commission) which resulted in the landmark report Our Common Future in 1987. She participated in the so-called Palme Commission on disarmament in the early 1990s and she also had a prominent role at the Rio Conference on sustainable development in 1992. She is world renowned for her commitment to environmental and development issues. She is a member of the exclusive group of international prominent leaders, The Elders, formed by Nelson Mandela in 2007, working together for peace and human rights. She has received many international awards including the Third World Prize (1988), the Indira Gandhi Prize (1988), the Onassis Foundations Delphi Prize (1992), and the Charlemagne Prize (1994)." She is definitely someone honorable and credible. She warns the public about mobile phones in this August 27, 2015 article on the Swedish Radiation Protection Foundation website.
As
of July 14, 2023, 259 EMF scientists from 44 nations, and 15 Supporting
Scientists from 11 nations have signed an international appeal calling for
stronger protection from non-ionizing radiation because the current
international health standards are inadequate.
First
published by De Gruyter July 25, 2016, and later appearing in the journal
Reviews on Environmental Health, this comprehensive article with multiple
authors is compiled from no less than 308 references, listed with links at the
bottom. The article covers topics such as: the current state of the scientific
and political debate about EMF-related health problems from a medical
perspective; worldwide statements of organizations regarding EMF; EMF and
cancer; genotoxic effects; neurological effects of EMF; EMF and infertility and
reproduction; Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS); other diseases that
require attention with respect to EMF; and recommendations for action. It also
includes some technical information about measuring electromagnetic fields,
helpful actions to avoid EMF exposure (besides just the RF exposure, which is
the focus of Sunrise Redeemer), and ways to heal from EHS and electromagnetic
field or radiation exposure.
This article, published October 18, 2022 in Environmental Health,
summarizes scientific evidence that the exposure limits set by the FCC and
ICNIRP, which are based on false suppositions, do not adequately protect
workers, children, hypersensitive individuals, and the general population from
short-term or long-term RFR exposures. Health protective exposure limits for
humans and the environment based on scientific evidence rather than on erroneous
assumptions are urgently needed, including novel forms of radiation from 5G
telecommunications.

is a link to a detailed 246-page e-textbook by Paul
Héroux, Ph.D., Professor of Electromagnetic Toxicology, Faculty of
Medicine, at McGill University, published in 2019, for one of the courses he
teaches. There is a lot of information in this text, and some is rather
complicated and involves higher levels of mathematics. Skip to chapter 5,
titled "Health Effects of Radiofrequencies and Microwaves", and one will find
information that is easier to read and comprehend, focusing specifically on the
biological effects of RF and microwaves.
HEALTH EFFECTS OF ELECTROMAGNETISM by Paul Héroux, Ph.D.
Many cellular, genetic and neurological effects, that are not directly felt by a person as "symptoms", are correlated with exposure to very low levels of EMR:
· Altered enzyme activity
· Biochemical changes
· Oxidative Stress
· Pathologic cell changes
· Neuro-behavioral effects
· DNA damage
· Altered gene expression
· Brain wave changes
· Generation of more reactive oxygen species in the mitochondria of the cells. The following diseases are known to be enhanced by reactive oxygen species: Diabetes, Heart Disease, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Psychiatric Disease, and Autism.
Paul Héroux, Ph.D., explains the details of his cellular studies in this Youtube video (which may be a bit technical for some viewers, but still useful)

The
bioinitiative.org website contains a document called the Bioinitiative Report,
which contains a detailed summary of the current scientific research regarding
the damaging effects of EMR, with each chapter prepared by a different author
(10 holding Medical Degrees (MDs), 21 with Doctors of Philosophy (PhDs), and one
each with a Master of Science (MSc), Master of Arts (MA), and Master of Public
Health (MPH). Among the authors are three former presidents of the
Bioelectromagnetics Society, and five full members of BEMS. One distinguished
author is the Chair of the Russian National Committee on Non-Ionizing Radiation.
Another is a Senior Advisor to the European Environmental Agency.
According to the website, "The great strength of the BioInitiative Report is that it has been done independent of governments, existing bodies and industry professional societies that have clung to old standards. Precisely because of this, the BioInitiative Report presents a solid scientific and public health policy assessment that is evidence-based."
This
easy to read, color-coded chart, also published on the bioinitiative.org
website, briefly summarizes findings of scientific articles published from 1974
through 2012, reporting observed biological effects.
Note that the unit of measurement for many of the listed articles is in µW/cm² (microwatts/square centimeter). Many RF meters, like the ones listed on the Remediation Page measure in µW/m² (microwatts per square meter). To convert µW/cm² to µW/m² in order to compare with the units one may be familiar with if one is doing RF testing, just move the decimal 4 places to the right (ex. 0.00034 µW/cm² = 3.4 µW/m²). It is necessary to multiply by 10,000 since there are 10,000 square centimeters in 1 square meter. Since there are 100 cm in one meter, one square meter would be a square with 100 cm per side, so 100 cm X 100 cm = 10,000 cm².

A
study published in the Journal of Clinical and Translational Research
published September 29, 2021, examined the peer-reviewed scientific literature
on the detrimental bioeffects of wireless communication radiation (WCR) and
identified several mechanisms by which WCR may have contributed to the COVID-19
pandemic as a toxic environmental cofactor. The study presents evidence that
WCR may cause changes in the blood such as rouleaux formation (stacking of red
blood cells); impair microcirculation exacerbating hypoxia (lack of oxygen);
amplify immune system dysfunction; increase cellular oxidative stress; increase
intracellular calcium essential for viral entry, replication and release; and
worsen heart arrhythmias and cardiac disorders.
A
2019 648-page monograph by Ronald N. Kostoff, Ph.D., "identifies adverse
effects of wireless radiation as reported in the premier biomedical literature.
It shows that most of the laboratory experiments that have been performed are
not designed to elicit the more severe adverse effects reflective of the
real-life operating environment in which wireless radiation is embedded. The
monograph includes a substantial bibliography of papers that present these
adverse effects, and shows that what has been reported is the tip of the iceberg
of the full spectrum of potential adverse effects from wireless radiation,"
as explained in the monograph's abstract.
