Sufficient Evidence Exists to Conclude that Non-ionizing EMR Causes Cancer

Common knowledge that ionizing radiation, such as the EMR from x-rays, causes cancer.  However, non-ionizing radiation, such as EMR from cell towers, cell phones, wi-fi, etc., has also been found to cause cancer in a multitude of studies.  In 2011, The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified radiofreqency radiation from mobile phones and other wireless devices as a Group 2B carcinogen ("possibly carcinogenic to humans").  There has been a lot more research since the 2011 classification was made.  Current research suggests the classification should be changed to Group 1 ("carcinogenic to humans").  If you read the content on The Historico-political Context Behind the Current, Inadequate Health Safety Standards Page, it should be easy to understand why the classification likely will not be updated any time soon, no matter how much supporting scientific evidence is presented, considering that classifying RF radiation as Group 1 would disrupt the entire communications industry and military operations.

This 2018 Environmental Research article examines epidemiology studies (case-control, cohort, time trend and case studies) published after the 2011 IARC classification of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields to Group 2B.  When considered with recent animal experimental evidence, the recent epidemiological studies strengthen and support the conclusion that radiofrequency radiation (RFR) should be categorized as carcinogenic to humans (IARC Group 1).

Below is a Youtube video of Dr. Anthony Miller, former advisor to the World Health Organization, and primary author of the article linked above, speaking at the Wireless Technology Forum in Michigan in 2018.  He explains evidence linking wireless radiation from cell phones to cancer.

This article, published in the journal, Experimental Oncology, in June, 2011, concludes that long-term exposure to radar and mobile communication systems causes cancer.  Scroll down past the Abstract for the full text of the article.

This October 16, 2024 Youtube video, presented by Nick Pineault (the EMF Guy), examines evidence pertaining to wireless radiation from cellular communications and cancer.

It is important to understand that the current safety standards regarding emissions from wireless devices, towers, antennas, etc., are not only inadequate because they are based only on thermal aspects of exposure, but also inadequate because they only consider short term exposure to one transmitter.  Depending on where they live, people can be exposed to a thousand or more transmitters' radiation at the same time because the transmitters are likely operating 24 hours a day.  These long-term exposures to low levels of non-ionizing radiation can contribute to numerous health effects, including cancer, as this Brazilian study published January 29, 2021, in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health indicates.
